Health and wellbeing

Going through a tough time? Does your mind feel foggy? Experiencing culture shock? Want to talk to someone who gets you? Take a deep breath, we're listening.

Unfortunately, you can't press the pause button on life while you are studying. Stuff is bound to crop up from time to time - you are human after all.

Ask for help - we're friendly and approachable

We provide a comprehensive support and referral service when personal issues get the better of your study. Talk to your programme tutor or visit the Learner Services helpdesk. Our support advisers can refer you to a health professional, counsellor or cultural adviser for in-depth individual help.

What sort of issues do we mostly get asked about?

People like you seek advice about the following;

  • Anxiety and worry
  • Cultural adjustment
  • Cyberbullying
  • Exercise
  • Grief
  • Managing your mood
  • Managing stress
  • Motivation
  • Nutrition
