Being safe after dark

After hours security

It's getting dark pretty early these days, so it's a good idea to check out the Nelson after hours security details. Save the number or take a photo/screenshot of this post, and if you ever feel unsafe on Nelson Campus, don't hesitate to give them a call.

Parking on campus

Don't be stung with a fine... be sure to clearly display your 2017 parking sticker (external link) , park in marked bays only and avoid disability spaces unless you're eligible. We appreciate finding a space can be difficult some days (especially when you're running late!) but do yourself a favour and stick to the rules (stated on car park entry signs) to avoid penalties!

The way we communicate with you via email has changed

All email communications from NMIT tutors, Moodle etc, now goes to your NMIT Office 365 Outlook email account (this ends with @live.nmit.ac.nz), NOT the personal one you supplied during enrolment.

We are changing this as it will improve the way we communicate and collaborate with you, whilst also opening up the full benefits of Office 365 where that email address is increasingly your online identity.

You can still view your other email accounts in one place through Office 365 Outlook and set up a NMIT email on your device (external link) .
