We have agreed to observe and be bound by the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021.

We have agreed to observe and be bound by the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021, often referred to as the ‘Code of Practice’ published by the Minister of Education.

Copies of the Code of Practice are available from NZQA’s website(external link).

The Code of Practice sets standards for us to ensure that high standards of pastoral care are maintained that students are provided with accurate information and that we ensure the particular needs of international students are recognised.

The Code of Practice also requires that we provide ways to have your say(external link) and that we listen, understand, and respond to learner voice in a way that upholds student mana and autonomy.

The Code of Practice also has a process for students to follow if they wish to make a complaint(external link) about the treatment by their education provider.
