The NMIT Buddy Programme exists to help new learners, especially international students, feel connected and supported as they settle into life in Aotearoa New Zealand. New learners are paired with friendly, experienced students who can help them navigate university life, explore the city, and feel more at home.

Buddy Leader responsibilities - I am willing to:

contact my buddy regularly, and before they arrive in NZ

respond to my buddy and the Learner Success team within a reasonable timeframe

attend at least one event in person

the information I have provided being used to support the buddy matching process

being contacted by the Learner Success team and NMIT programme staff
