Our graduation ceremonies are very special days for our NMIT learners, their supporters and kaiako [tutors] alike.

It’s a chance to celebrate not only their achievement in receiving their certificate of qualification, but also the beginning of a new chapter.

Each ceremony includes a certificate and diploma recognition, Bachelor’s capping with the trencher, cultural celebrations like haka and waiata, and memorable whānau cheering.

Celebrate your way: There is a Low Sensory ceremony option in both Nelson and Marlborough for those that would prefer a quieter, calmer celebration.

Accessibility support is available at all our venues, with ushers ready to assist.

Please arrive at the venue in plenty of time before the check-in time and proceed to the rear of the venue.

NMIT support staff will be on hand to guide you to the assembly area to  before you cross the stage and receive your award.

After the ceremony closes, there will be time for you to celebrate and take photos with your fellow graduates and support teams before heading to the street parade procession.

Light refreshments will be available in the foyer following the ceremony and parade.

Please ensure you return your regalia by 4.30pm, to the same location you collected it from.
